Dana Small
Vice President of Safety, Training and Environmental, Exelon Corporation
Dana Small is the vice president of Safety, Training & Environmental for Exelon. Exelon is one of the nation’s largest utility companies, serving more than 10.7 million customers through six fully regulated transmission and distribution utilities — Atlantic City Electric, BGE, ComEd, Delmarva Power, PECO, and Pepco.
Small has over 22 years of experience with Exelon. In her role as vice president Safety, Training & Environmental, Small leads strategic collaborations with Exelon operating companies to create policies, programs and initiatives that foster a safety culture aligned with Exelon’s goals.
In her former roles, Dana led process and technology initiatives across Pepco Holdings Customer Operations, including digital channels. Small has served as director of Delmarva Power Electric Operations where she oversaw the safe and reliable operation Delmarva Power’s overhead and underground electric distribution system that serves over 530,000 people across Delaware and Maryland. Small has held leadership positions in Smart Grid, Capacity Planning and Innovation, Project Management and Environmental Planning. She played a pivotal role in Pepco Holding’s COVID-19 response.
Small is also a founding member of the Pepco Holdings Engineering Development Committee. Small serves as vice chair of the Edison Electric Institute Occupational Safety and Health Executive Advisory Committee and is on the Board of Advisors of the CSRA.
Small holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Delaware. She is also a graduate of the University of Idaho Utility Executive course and a Leading Executive Women’s Fellow.
